Fun Easter Activities!

Savannah Vega, Writer

Everyone knows that on Easter you can do an egg hunt. But what else? Here are some Easter activities you can do if an egg hunt doesn’t feel like enough. There will be activities that are crafts and snacks you can make.

Twinkie Bunny Cars

Create a fun sugary snack that looks like bunnies driving a car! You will need..

  • Twinkies (Car)
  • Peeps (Driver)
  • Mini Oreos (Tires and wheel)
  • Pretzel (Another choice for wheel)

You’d only need to cut the Twinkie for the Peep to sit inside.

Paper Bunny Ears

This is a fun and easy headband to make and wear. You’ll need white and pink paper. Use the white paper to cut out two ears. Do the same to the pink paper except cut smaller ears. You then will glue the pink papers onto the ears. Cut a white piece of paper to make a band that’ll fit around your head. Either glue, staple or tape to secure the band, then glue on the rabbits ears.

Now let’s move onto the more simple choices. It’s traditional to paint hard boiled eggs on Easter. This is easy, because you’ll just need boiled eggs and paint. Another simple fun thing to do is buy confetti eggs! Confetti eggs are meant to crack open on people for a surprise. The mess isn’t too bad, confetti eggs are fun because it easily surprises people unexpectedly. Lastly, a simple snack to make are chocolate covered strawberries that look like carrots.

Carrot Strawberries

You will need..

  • Strawberries
  • White Melting Chocolate
  • Orange Food Dye
  • Plastic Ziploc Bag

Melt the white chocolate then add orange food dye. Dip strawberries into the chocolate then lay down on tray. Put chocolate into Ziploc bag, poking a hole in one corner. This will be used to push a thin amount of chocolate to drizzle over the strawberries. Put the strawberries in the fridge for 30 minutes. Then, your carrot looking chocolate strawberries should be done!
