The chapter’s most active first year members who have a strong supervised agricultural experience program and have demonstrated leadership are selected to win the star greenhand award. These members show dedication and room for improvement and growth through this organization. 

They have attended many FFA events, ranging from conferences, to speaking competitions, and competing in CDE projects throughout the state. They are the future forerunners of our organization and are important assets to our success. These recipients have truly demonstrated the FFA mission and have devoted their time to serving the FFA.
