On Thursday, August 24th, former President Donald J. Trump was booked at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta. As Mr. Trump awaits his trial scheduled for March 4th, 2024, he paid a bond of $200,000 to be released for the time. Despite this being Mr. Trump’s 4th arrest in the span of five months, they finally made him take a booking photo; along with the other 18 accused people from Trump’s legal team. Trump is being accused/indicted for charges such as election fraud, removing classified documents from the White House and storing them in his bathroom in his Mar-a-Lago home, and etc. The former president claims that the reason behind these cases coming up against him is because of political motivation, since he’s leading the Republican Party in next year’s election up against now President Joe Biden.
Back in January 2021, the former President had been kicked off of X (which was originally known as Twitter). As of now, he has regained his access to his account. Since then, he has made a tweet/post with his mugshot and a caption reading “ELECTION INTERFERENCE, NEVER SURRENDER!”.
Once Trump’s mugshot was released, that’s when all of the memes began to flood in.
