Jettson Lawrence entered his rookie 450 season of motocross hoping for at least a win or two. Little did he know he would come out on the top. Jett began his racing career in 2014 at the age 11. His first ever title won was the 65cc World Championship in Belgium. He finally came over to America to begin training with the Honda Racing Company in 2019 and his career in professional racing took off.
The 2023 Pro Motocross season started off very well for Lawrence, he took first place in the first and second motos of the first round race. He then went on to clench the first place spot week by week. After the 8th round it was clear that no other racer had a shot to steal the points lead. By the 9th round, a little over halfway through the season, 20 year old Jett had already taken such a big lead on the vet racers that he sealed the title of the 2023 450 Motocross Champion. Now all he had to do to take this season to the next level was win the next 4 races. A perfect, undefeated season from the young rookie was never expected. This had only happened one other time in all of motocross history by James Stewart in 2008. Jett used all he had to train and make this possible, by the 11th round he had still not lost a single race awarding him the second person ever to achieve this amazing goal of an undefeated season. It is even more amazing that he is the only person to have accomplished a perfect rookie season.
