An artist that I have been listening to for about 4 years is Tyler, The Creator. Tyler grew up in Hawthorne California. He was born on March 6th, 1991. His full name is Tyler Gregory Okonma. Tyler had never met his father; his dad is Nigerian with lgbo ancestry. His mom is Canadian descent mixed with African American.
He is one of the founding fathers of Odd Future. Tyler has one two grammy awards, a brit award, a MTV video music award and THREE bet hip hop awards. Okonma released “Bastard” in 2009 by himself. As soon as he released “Goblin” in 2011, he had gained mainstream exposure. At this time, he had more of a horrorcore stylistic genre. He switched to more of an alternative hip hop sound in “Cherry Bomb” in 2015. His later albums are “Flower Boy” 2017, “Igor” 2019, “Call me if you get lost” 2021 and “Call Me If You Get Lost: The Estate Sale.”
I think Tyler’s music is really good and inspiring. I’ve listened to him since I was around 10 or 11. He also is really funny in general. His music switches up each album but that’s what makes him good and different from other artists. Multiple artists also have inspiration from Tyler like, Juice Wrld, Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X.
