On September 10th, 2023, the Las Vegas Raiders took down the Denver Broncos in a nail-biting game with a final score of 17-16. New Denver Broncos Super Bowl-winning head coach Sean Payton has brought a ton of new hope to the Denver Broncos fan base. Meanwhile, the signing of new Las Vegas quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo has seemingly torn the fan base apart. Although Jimmy Garoppolo is a proven winner, (with a 54-21 win/loss record), people don’t believe he has what it takes to lead the Las Vegas Raiders to the Super Bowl.
Former Patriot Jakobi Meyers started the scoring for the Raiders with a 3-yard touchdown reception. The Denver Broncos responded with a 5-yard touchdown reception to L.J. Humphrey. Las Vegas Raiders kicker, Daniel Carlson then made a 24-yard field goal. Denver Broncos then had a touchdown to Courtland Sutton (5-yards). After a Jimmy Garoppolo interception, Broncos kicker scored a 24-yard field goal. The last score of the day went to Jakobi Meyers with a 6-yard touchdown reception to win the game. The MVP of the game in my opinion was Jakobi Meyers with 9 catches for 81 yards and 2 touchdowns.
