On Sunday Oct 2 the Jets took on the Chiefs in a what was planned to be a blowout on primetime ever since the Aaron Rodgers injury. In fact it wasn’t and it was maybe one of the worst performances Patrick Mahomes has had in his career. Zach Wilson got off to a very slow start to start the game but a safety on the Chiefs turned around the momentum for the Jets offense and defense. Zach Wilson showed the world that night why he was the number 2 pick in the draft. Wilson went 28/39 throwing for 245 yards and 2 touchdowns this performance was the only one to have a higher QB rating then Mahomes ever. The game ended to some very bad calls on the refs with blatant hold on a 3rd and 22 that would have given the Jets another chance to score. The game ended 23-20 KC Chiefs.
After the game Wilson who in the past has had some rough times after games showed his growth. Last year he lost a game and said some things he regrets saying. There also was a reporter Rodney Harrison who after the game was interviewing star DT Chris Jones. As Chris Jones was praising Wilson for his game Harrison was baiting Jones into saying something bad about how Wilson has been in the past. Chris Jones wasn’t having any of it and continued to praise Wilson. Micah Parsons also went on his short podcast and said that Harrison was in the wrong and praised Wilson some more.
