This is somewhat of a talked on topic, especially by parents out of concern for their child. But in reality? Video games can’t hurt anybody… they’re 100% harmless. They are meant to show off your skill set and even be able to better your skill set, along with entertaining the average day person. There’s all sorts of video games out there, not just the “crazy” or “violent” ones. For me, video games have a tendency to calm me down. I’ve been playing them from a young age, especially Nintendo games with my brother. Even though he was better at them than I was, that didn’t derive me from playing them. Now with both of us growing up, we still play games together and still yell at each other over them.
Anyways, video games have always been a safe place for me. Whether it’s hopping onto Fallout 4 and cruising the map to complete missions to help restore the Commonwealth, playing strategically to easily plant the bomb in Rainbow Six Siege, fighting zombies in COD BO2, to running around the map with my trusted horse in Red Dead Redemption 2 – Online. All of these games and more are ones that I hold closely to my heart. With all of this being said, I suggest that everybody (when they have the capability to) should try out video games… let your heart run wild.
You can always have fun in games too, I love to mess around in them as well. Mainly with friends, that’s what makes it fun.
