The 49ers were set to play the Vikings on 10/23 on Monday Night Football. They started off hot grabbing an interception and getting great field position. But an unfortunate fumble from CMC Christian McCaffrey. The defense was picked apart by Vikings quarter back Kirk Cousins who cooked that night. The 49ers defense was supposed to be top 5 but that night he made them look very mediocre. 49ers end up losing on a final drive pick from Brock Purdy 17-22. The game meant a lot to the guys after last weeks loss. The defense has a lot to prove next week and a decision to either fire the head defensive coordinator or keep him and change it up. After the game Brock Purdy was put in concussion protocol so he most likely won’t go for Sunday so backup Sam Darnold will most likely suit up to play.
