To start, I personally really liked the movie. I like the fact that the movie doesn’t really follow the lore closely, but rather has its own course of action that it takes. For example, them making Vanessa as William Afton’s daughter rather than Elizabeth, which is Afton’s daughter who was killed by Circus Baby; as revealed in Sister Location. Another cool thing is how they used Josh Hutcherson as Mike Schmidt, to which is theorized that Mike Schmidt is actually Michael Afton… changed his name. I’d like to also add that the scene where Mike’s younger brother Garrett might possibly resemble the crying child, being taken away by William Afton in the car. I’m probably incorrect with this theory but hey, it’s just a theory.
A lot of people said the movie wasn’t good and that it was cringe because of the way the characters acted, but they don’t realize that it’s intentional. The animatronics are meant to act goofy and kid-like because there are children’s souls in them, that child-like behavior is key to who they truly are. Either way, I say watch it and see if maybe you do or do not like it, it really is just up to you in the end.
