The day of the dead rally has always been my favorite because it shows our school the diversity and the culture behind it. Dia de los Muertos, also known as day of the dead, is an important holiday celebrated in Mexico, Central America, South America and other parts of the world. Celebrates the lives of loved ones who have passed away and is typically celebrated nov. 1 and nov.2. People also make an offrenda and put loved ones favorite food and pan de muerto and paper picado and they also add a bunch of marigolds. The rally have a couple of fun challenges they had the traditional dancing with the teachers and they compete for the win and the other challenge was a student from each grade level went up and they had a find a student in the audience who was dressed up as a loteria card.
