This past Sunday, (November 5th, 2023), the Las Vegas Raiders Beat the New York Giants in blowout fashion. The final score was 30-6. The starting quarterback for the Giants (Daniel Jones) went down early in the first quarter with an injury and didn’t return for the rest of the game which put Tommy DeVito in line to start the rest of the game. It was the defense of the raiders that caused this game to be a blowout. The Raiders defense had 7 sacks and 2 interceptions. Maxx Crosby had 3 sacks on his own. The Raiders also decided to bench Jimmy Garoppolo in favor of Aidan O’Connell.
This win comes after the firing of Raiders head coach Josh Mcdaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler. The new Raiders interim head coach Antonio Pierce and interim general manager Champ Kelly certainly stepped up. The Raiders offense have failed to score more than 20 points in a single game under Mcdaniels. They did so with Antonio Pierce though, scoring 30 points, the most points the Raiders have scored all year. This was also the highest margin in a win of the season son far for the Raiders (24 points).
