Ever since a young age, I’ve taken care of many kinds of plants. Vegetables, flowers, cacti, succulents, trees… just about anything you can think of. I’ve always been a nature person at heart, something I love more than anything I’ve ever done in my whole life. Watching things grow through a period of time is beautiful to me, knowing that you nurtured it so well that it grew. My grandma was the one who originally got me into growing, leaving me to be in charge of taking care of her greenery. These kinds of plants included vines, a pepper tree, hydrangeas, roses, bougainvillea, lemon and orange trees, geraniums, Christmas cactus, and much more. I always did her front yard first, making sure I used enough water for each and enough to be able to save the water as well. Some days I would water them, then some days I would feed them with a water infused feeder. This promotes a healthier basis for these plants and allows them to grow through the tougher times in our seasons.
Now you may be asking, “Why should I take care of plants and how will it help me?” In the short of it, being outdoors can help boost your happiness and overall wellness. Have you ever taken a walk in the park? If so, did you ever look at the trees? The grass? The plants? How did that make you feel? I’m pretty sure you felt happy or amazed, which is the normal reaction. Well? It’s the same thing with taking care of plants. They’re like taking care of animals, same amount of care and attention goes into plants.
Either way, I think that if you like plants, you should definitely try raising them.
