I’m sure there’s days where you’re bored or you have nothing to do. Your usual activity doesn’t feel right, the other things you usually do don’t sound interesting. So you ask yourself, “What should I do?” Well, I have an idea for you. If you’re one of those people who really doesn’t invest a lot of their time into yourself, then I found something for you to do. You can start helping yourself by making baby steps forward. Maybe instead of waking up so early in the morning, try sleeping in and talking that time to yourself. Instead of coffee, try a different alternative that’s better than coffee and wakes you up in the morning. I’ll be honest, there’s days when I don’t do my skincare routine. I deal with depression, which mine is severe, so sometimes I completely ignore doing my skincare routine. There’s days I come home from school and all I do is take a shower, eat, and sleep. I forget about my homework (only if I have any) and just spend that time taking care of myself.
Now you may ask yourself, “Why should I take care of myself?” Allow me. Taking care of yourself is important, even from a young age. If you’re a freshman, sophomore, junior, or even a senior? You’ll see that school can be stressful. What if you have a job as well? That could add a lot more stress to your life too. So what’s the best case scenario? Set time aside for yourself. Whether it’s taking care of your skin, face, or whatever else is slowly falling behind. Not only can you set time aside, but you could even make a set schedule.
Overall? I think that taking care of yourself is most important. keeping yourself together and not allowing yourself to go into burnout is also pretty important.
