This Valentines day lands on also Ash Wednesday. This Year many people are walking around with flowers, gifts, chocolates, and more. Some of the kids here actually have gone all out, with posters, gift baskets, flowers, and more, and it so cute. These things are either very cute and nice to see or not good to see and annoying. With that being said I’ve seen a lot of people wear either pink or red, which I didn’t think about that. Stores have already took the Valentines Day stuff out and put Easter things in.
Valentines day comes from the celebration of the Feast of Saint Valentine. The dark part of the background of this holiday is Emperor Claudius II executed two men — both named Valentine — on Feb. 14 of different years in the third century. They were executed for being a priest who illegally married young couples in secret after this proclamation, so Emperor Claudius beheaded them. With all the love and goodness going around I hope all the pretty girls out there have a good valentines day.
