This President’s Day weekend, me and my family went camping at Lopez Lake. We had many other family friends join us as well. The environment around us was beautiful. The first two days we were there, the weather was sunny with a slight breeze. The last two days, it was just pouring rain on us. We brought canopies and so did the other families. So we all huddled them up next to one another and formed a rain block for everyone to hangout under. We also carried one canopy around the camp sites with people walking under its we could go visit our friend trailers without getting soaked.
The water level of the lake was over 100%, which it has not been that high in a very very long time. It got raised because of all the rain we have had lately. All the kids enjoyed playing board games and card games together while the adults were gathered around the campfire. Camping is one of my favorite things to do because you are just out in the open with many things to explore. As well as no cell service so people will not be stuck on their phones the entire trip. I always have a great time when I get to camp with friends and just roam free.
