Shohei Ohtani’s career long interpreter Ippei Mizuhara was caught wire transferring 4.5 million dollars to allegedly pay back gambling debts. There are speculations it’s all a cover up for Shohei’s gambling problem and his best friend taking the blame some think it really was Ippei who was covering debt. However Dodgers didn’t hesitate to fire him from the team. The MLB has launched an investigation into the whole situation because Ippei says he was gambling on soccer which is allowed since it isn’t baseball he lives in California so it is illegal to sports bet. Shohei’s future could end up very weird if he’s found guilty and he could be suspended maybe even kicked out of the league.
