This week on Monday 4.8.2024 we got the chance to experience a solar eclipse. A solar Eclipse is when you catch the moon covering the sun, so the earth, moon and sun are like aligned in the same direction. It is interesting to see and discuss too, although don’t look at the sun while there is a solar eclipse or you’ll never see again. Solar eclipse happen every 1 to 3 years. Some say every 7, i think it just depends maybe where you are.
Solar Eclipse are very cool to see, only with the glasses. This is a great science lesson to go over, especially with kids. They get to learn more about the solar system and how and why this happens. Its interesting to talk about, and who knows maybe students will find it interesting.
