This year’s prom theme was “A Night Under The Lanterns” and it was held at the Elks Lodge in Santa Maria. The dance started at 8 p.m. and ended at 11 p.m.. When you entered the venue, you waited in a line to get your school I.D checked before going in. Then, you walked down a hall that was very lit up, and when you got to the main room there were many lights and lanterns hung all around.
In the area where the tables sat, there was a photo booth, a floral backdrop for taking pictures, and a 360 revolving camera to take slo-motion videos with friends. There was also a dessert table filled with cookies, cupcakes, chocolate-covered strawberries, macarons, and many more sweet treats.
Overall, Prom was a good experience. I enjoyed taking pictures, hanging out and dancing with my friends. I had a great time.
