Establishing The Club
There is a new club looking to be established in Ernest Righetti High School called “Already Chosen”, A club that serves the purpose of studying and spreading the gospel or the word of God.
This club will be hosted by Samuel Immanuel Cornejo, a Senior this year at Righetti High School, and was working on establishing this Club along side with his co-host Ezekiel Perez.
Samuel claims that his main motive of starting this Club was that “what Christ wanted was for me to spread the good news and for me to show people what has helped me in life.”
Samuel stated that the purpose of this club is “to spread the gospel and that people know that god has had a plan for them, he has chosen them for the foundations of the world as it says in Ephesians Chapter 1.” Samuel shared that he only wants “to do God’s work and bring people to Christ”.
When asked about the policies and rules of the club, Sam responded with “All are welcome definitely, I’m not gonna shun anybody away, you know Christ wouldn’t want that, but just saying, please be respectful while were reading and certain things.
When asked what will we do in this club, Samuel says that “we will talk, get conferrable, have a lesson reading from the Bible, pray and possibly have a Q&A after.”
Teacher’s Involvement
Teacher of Righetti Highschool Steve Wagner has “agreed to advise the club and intend to support its members…” as long as he is not busy.
He claims that he “decided to be an advisor for the ‘Already Chosen’ club so that our ERHS students would have an opportunity to be supported in their faith while on campus…”
When asked about the his feelings towards the club, he claimed that “I feel strongly that our club can help provide students of faith a safe haven in an increasingly secular, hostile world, and we look forward to working with other similar clubs on our campus.”
When asked about how he feels about the hosts, he claims that “Sam and Ezekiel are great young students and they have a great vision for a campus club that will build a big tent across our various faith systems so that ERHS students can feel supported in their faith…”
