The grading period is coming up for us Righetti students. Our next grading period is on November 1st 2024. This can be stressful to both students and teachers. I’ll explain to you a little bit about what a grading period is and why it’s important. Grading period is a date range within a school year that helps organize and manage grades. It’s important because it motivates students to keep good grades and to turn in missing assignments. Teachers in advance give students a deadline of when the last time you can turn in certain assignments that are missing so that your grade goes up. It can be stressful to certain students because they can have multiple missing assignments in multiple classes and they all have a deadline. It’s also stressful for teachers because multiple students from all their classes start to turn in missing assignments and they have to grade them. Some teachers give a few days in advance in their class to focus on only turning missing assignments that day. For some students it can be a free day because they can be all caught up on all their classes. The day of grading day students have a minimum day that way teachers have time to grade and turn in the grade to Aries. Later that day parents get a email of their children’s grades.
