The Philippines is a country in Asia that has a staggering 7,641 islands apart of it. Manila is the capital, a city that has almost 15 million residents as of 2024, and it is also where my mom is from, and it is home to the largest malls in Philippines. There are two main languages in the Philippines, Tagalog and Ilokano, which are very predominant everywhere you go.
The Philippines has a typhoon season, which is in the summer around June or July. Pinoys around the world are known for their karaoke skills. We love to sing, dance, make food, be with family, and share our culture with the world. We are categorized into the Southeast Asian category like Laos or Malaysia rather than the Pacific Islander category because we are not in the Pacific Islands like Fiji or Tonga. There are many facts about the Philippines and so much culture to be shared by us especially with our food. The Philippines is not very known in the world, but for it to be known and talked about is always the best.
