Today I will be talking about something different and that is, what I did over the weekend. Over the weekend my cousin got married. This cousin was from my mothers side. The whole weekend was full of excitement and nervousness. As a Mexican we don’t only celebrate the day of the wedding but the whole week. Now I will walk you through what happened the whole week. On Thursday we had rehearsal’s for church. My cousin got married in a catholic church and she had God parents and my parents where one of the God parents. After the church rehearsal’s we had a little gathering at my uncles house. The next day on Friday we had rehearsal dinner where both family’s side got to give their speeches. On Saturday was the main event, the wedding. I had to get up early to get my makeup done and hair done. Around 1 p.m. we got to church but mass didn’t start until 1:30 p.m. Mass ended at 2:30 p.m. and we got to congratulate the newlyweds and we also took pictures outside church. Right after church we went to the reception which was at a barn in Dominion road. The party was amazing there was food, music, drinks and much more. The next day Sunday most Mexican’s have this thing called “Recalentado” after a big party where people come to eat mostly “Menudo” and what was left over from the night before. Lastly, Monday was thankfully the last day because I was so tired of partying the whole week. We had a gathering at my house to talk about the fun memories that happened Saturday night.
