There’s a Korean drama that is extremely popular and has been popular since it’s coming out in 2021 called ‘Squid Game’. The whole idea is there’s hundreds of people who happen to be in debt or poor and can’t afford something that end up being taken away to these games. These games include their traditional childhood games that they would play when younger, but the twist is if they lose, they die. It’s grown very popular especially in the states from people trying to see if they would survive the squid games by playing the games or doing the challenges they would do in the show. From people remaking it like Mr. Beast the popular YouTuber with millions of subscribers. Excluding the death part of course. The second season has come out recently and it has grown even more popular. New games introduced and more trends happening. But one thing most people have been thinking about is what if this were to be based in America? What childhood games would we play in our version? I’ve heard many people say tag, hide and seek, hopscotch and heads up seven up. But people also wonder if these games were real and there has been some things going around saying back in the 80s there was something happening like this in Korea. Of course, if it did happen that would be extremely scary and tragic, and I hope nothing of the sort ever occurs anywhere.
