Being a 15-year old florist preparing for Valentines day bouquet orders is an exciting and challenging experience at such a young age i have always had a passion with flowers because the different types of colors there is to choose from have caught my eyes. Another thing that has made me more motivated about my business is seeing the happiness in girls when receiving there bouquet. This essay will explore, lessons and emotions of a young florist as i prepare for on of the busiest days of the year in the flower industry.
First and foremost preparation for Valentines day beings weeks ahead before the special day. As a young florist it is important for me to plan ahead of time due to the fact that i still have school as my main priority and need to get my school work done in time before anything . This also involves researching flowers and bouquet trends ensuring i have enough inventory and I’m able to stay up to trend . Dealing with high quality flowers means the orders are needed to look nice to satisficed the costumer. Additionally, practicing different floral arrangement’s techniques is important to create unique and beautiful bouquets that stand out from the competition.
Preparing for valentines day can be busy and also exciting at the same time since I’m having to wake up early in the morning to being with a couple of orders so when i get home from school I’m able to get food in my system and begin with the other orders i have to still do. Although i enjoy the good side of being florist it comes with the consequence of consistent back pain. Especially being in school makes it more challenging since I’m already sitting down in my class rooms .
Overall i think being a florist with having the priority of school during valentines day comes with pros and con’s but i would recommend to any young girls around my age to become a florist because it something that’s beneficial with income at such a age. And it also teaches you to stay organize and neat since your costly needing to clean. Its also able to teach you the staring on how you can start a business.
