Mexico Trip

Last week on Feb 13th was my first time visiting Mexico. Both of my parents are Mexican & born in Mexico and last week I went to visit my moms home town which is Santa Cruz de Astillero, Jalisco, Mexico. It was so lovely meeting new family members and getting to visit where my mom grew up. I was there for a week from Thursday the 13th- Wednesday 19th. I visited many small and big towns in Mexico. I got to meet some of my cousins I didn’t know I had and happy to say I met them. The sad part was that my trip was a family emergency trip because we went to bury my grandpa. We had church on Saturday and lots of family members were there. It was a very sad day for all of us family members. But other than that day I still had so much fun because I got to hang out and go out with my cousins. They took me to explore new places. I plan to go back in December because from December 1st- 12th there are huge parties to celebrate our religion. I want to meet more family members that weren’t able to be with us this week. My favorite part of this trip was meeting new family members and the places. My not so favorite part was getting to bury my grandpa and the airport. Since it was my first time flying, I wasn’t really sure how the airport worked and I did not like it one bit.
