This weekend I went out with my friends to a Mexican Carnaval. This Carnaval is done every year from March 1st-March 3rd. They do this Carnaval to show Michoacan culture from Mexico. They have Mexican food and they have a Mexican band playing for 4 hours. The Carnaval starts at 6 p.m and ends at 11 p.m. One of their traditions is to dance in a circle and throw flour up in the air or to other people. It’s a fun way to celebrate Mexican culture because not a lot of people that are from Mexico can go back to their home town in Mexico. It’s so much fun to go with your family because it’s a fun way to bond with them. You meet new people and become friends with new people. My favorite part about this weekend was that we got to go both days which was Saturday and Sunday. Not a lot of people went on Sunday because adults had to work the next day and kids had to go to school too. Either way it was a very fun weekend and I hope to do it once again and hope to see the same friends we made both nights.
