Studio Ghibli is an animation company that produces films filled with warmth and nostalgia. The directors of most of the films are Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata. Their films are not just famous in Japan but also in America. Even though many of them were made in the 1980s-2000s, they are still in the spotlight as some of the most famous animated films and are well-known worldwide.
Many people watch them to feel nostalgia, as the plots often capture the imagination of childhood. The films focus heavily on imagination because of its impact. In addition to their imaginative storytelling, they feature stunning visuals, from the vibrant colors and fluid animation to the beautifully designed characters.
I think my favorite part of their films is the animation. Studio Ghibli has come a long way in developing their artistic skills, and their visuals are breathtaking. They should not be overlooked or underestimated.
My top two Studio Ghibli films:
First place: My Neighbor Totoro (1988).
Second place: The Secret World of Arrietty (2010).
I can watch both of these movies over and over without getting tired of them.
