Many people struggle to tour the world and prefer to stay in their hometown, never venturing elsewhere. In Mexican society, many people of my race do not travel and instead focus on their work. In my perspective, I believe that if you put your heart and soul into your work, you should travel. One day, I realized that almost everyone in my hometown of Santa Maria was born and died here. These folks have just dedicated their lives to work and their families, which is not a bad decision, but it would be good to live a little. A goal I hope to achieve after learning from my parents is to have children later in life and enjoy your 20s. Don’t have children young and don’t settle for a partner so young. Traveling the world is beneficial to everyone, regardless of financial situation, because it expands perspectives and promotes personal development. Experiencing various backgrounds, cuisines, and lifestyles can improve empathy and understanding, which lowers beliefs and prejudices. Travel can also teach important life skills like freedom and problem-solving, as navigating unfamiliar situations frequently poses unexpected issues. Even on a tight budget, visiting new locations can result in remarkable memories and connections, improving one’s life in ways that money cannot. Finally, travel is about the experiences and lessons learned, which can be equally meaningful for those with low finances.
