I know that board games are one of the best ways to bond with friends and family. They can also help pass the time during lunch, sleepovers, finals, or any other time at school. My friends and I always tend to play board games or card games during lunch so that we have something to do besides just chatting. Board games can last a long time if they are taken care of properly. You can also thrift them or find some on sale.
Sequel is a simple but fun game. It is a board game with an assortment of cards that match the deck of cards. You will view the board and choose where to place the coin, but the card must match the board. To win, you need to have six in a row. The game is played in teams of three. Each player gets six cards and should be seated between members of the opposing team. Since you are not allowed to communicate verbally, you must give each other signs using only your eyes. Pointing or nodding is considered cheating. Two special cards give players an advantage: the one-eyed Jack and the two-eyed Jack. The one-eyed Jack allows you to remove any opponent’s coin, while the two-eyed Jack lets you place your coin anywhere—except on an already occupied slot.
Slap Jack is a simple but fun game. All you need is a complete deck of cards. If you have two players, split the deck in half or divide the cards evenly between both players. Each player should place their stack of cards face down, with the pictures facing away from them. When the game starts, players take turns flipping over the top card of their stack. If a Jack appears, slap it! The first player to slap the Jack wins all the cards that were placed before it. The game continues until one player runs out of cards. Important Rule: If you place a card on top of the Jack before slapping it, you cannot slap it.
