Anesthesiology

Anesthesiology is an overlooked job in the hospital. people like to think that surgeons are the most important person in the operating room. Well, I would like to disagree. I think that surgeons and anesthesiologists are on the same level of importance. Surgeons get the job done, and anesthesiologists are necessary for the surgery to even be done so that the patient can stay asleep comfortably and awake afterwards comfortably. Anesthesiologists are doctors as well and go to med school for plenty of years to get their spot in the hospital. They do so much schooling to be able to put you to sleep and make sure that nothing goes wrong during surgery, keeping the closest eye on us to make sure we are doing well throughout the entire procedure. They are advanced in their field and study hard to make sure that anything we are taking such as certain meds can mix well with the anesthesia they administer to us. This is my dream career, and I hope pursuit in this field gives me the fulfillment I desire in helping to care for someone to the best of my abilities..
