Today I will take about some Easter Traditions. There can be 2 reasons why you might celebrate Easter. One reason can be for the people that are religious. For example for christians and catholics Easter is celebrated to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ three days after his death by crucifixion. Easter symbolizes the faith towards God and victory over death and sins. It also marks the end of Lent. What most people do the morning of Easter is go to church. For the non religious people Easter is a holiday that associates with eggs and bunnies. The bunnies symbolize an ancient symbol of fertility, rebirth and new life. Many families hide eggs with candy either at their house or at parks. The adults hide eggs with candy inside for the younger kids to go find. What can make it more exciting is that there can be a golden egg hidden and who ever finds it is lucky because it has the biggest prize like money or candy. Some other families also do Easter baskets for their children. The baskets consisted of their favorite candy, favorite toy, some type of clothing or other stuff they might like. This holiday is more fun for the little children because it’s like a second Halloween because they get to eat their favorite candy.
