Do you have a cat? Have you ever wanted one? Here are some tips and pointers to help you be a good cat owner. First, you will definitely want to have a litter box. A litter box is a quality point for the cat to know it’s territory, and to go do its business. I recommend a scent free litter, that’s light, and can be scooped out easily. You will want to clean out their droppings every day, and clean and change their litter every week for a fresh start.
Then you’ll need to have lots of water and food. I always have fresh water in my cat’s bowl. I feed her a kind I’ve used since she was a kitten, so she’s used to it, and never skips meals. Sometimes I will feed her a different flavor every once and then but be aware because switching food very fast can cause stomach problems.
You’ll need to cure their boredom and curiosity by getting them toys and new activities. Every cat is different, so this might not be a big necessity for you and your cat. Provide a safe room for your cat. This makes them feel secure when their feeling tired or anxious. Even if it’s a little kitty house or a full room, they can always run to go in there whenever they need.
Don’t forget, lots of attention. If your cat doesn’t like attention, they will definitely let you know with a hit of the paw, a hiss, or even something else. If not, give them pets and love. Remember, it’s your pet! These are just tips to help you with your experience with your cat.
