Technology has been a big part of our lives and always will be. It helps us stay connected globally during our everyday lives through phones, social media, video calls and messages. We can contact others in seconds. No matter where they are in the world. This easy and fast connection makes life simpler, more so when we need help and support.
However, it cannot always be a positive thing. Addiction is a problem when it comes to using technology, more specifically: social media. Social media can make us compare ourselves to others, which can lead to insecurity, stress, and negativity. Even though we have many positive ways to communicate, person to person communication is becoming rarer to see day by day.
Technology also affects how we see time. It is easy to lose hours just by scrolling endlessly on apps such as instagram or tiktok. It can take away hobbies, sleep or nature time. If you are always on your device you forget to enjoy the outside world.

But still, technology isn’t all that bad, it just depends on how much we use it. If used correctly we can be creative and free. We just need to find the correct amount of balance.
In the end technology is a tool, not a replacement for free communication. If we use it wisely we can figure out how to not let it take over our lives. The choice is yours, stay connected with the real world too.
