This time of year is super stressful, finals, deadlines, pressure from your parents, or teachers. These things can put you in a bad mood or effect your mental health. May is mental health awareness month, so don’t be afraid to reach out if you are feeling down or upset. Staying psotive can be hard if you feel angry of stressed out all the time. So here are some things you can try to relieve that stress and make you feel better.
-Having a conversation with someone who cares. Often times parents can be the source of additional stress and trying to talk to them can make you feel worse. Try speaking to a friend or other family memeber that will take the time to listen to your first instead of critisizing you.
-Take time out of you schudule to do something that makes you happy. During times of only doing homework and spending hours studying. So take a few minutes or a hour if you can to try and do something that brings you joy.
-Be with people who fill your cup. Sometimes we look over “little things”, being friends or other peers that don’t often bring you joy. You just put up with them because of either how stressed you are or being blind by their negative energy. Friends can be your biggest motivators or your biggest haters. Try to spend time with people who fill your cup instead of empty it.
Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you need it, asking for help is not considered weak or annoying.
