Metal Gear Solid 3, Was released for the PlayStation 2 On November, 17, 2004, and was the fifth Game in the series to be released, being written and directed by Hideo Kojima. The Game, which takes place first chronologically, won many awards, such as “Best Overall Action Game” and “Best Overall Story”. The Game Received both a 3Ds port and a HD remaster, along with Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, For the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

In The Game, you play as John, whose codename is Naked Snake, (And later, is known as Big Boss)  whos mission is to save Soviet rocket scientist Dr. Sokolov, and later, to stop his war machine, the Shagohod, that is now being controlled by Colonel Volgin, the main antagonist. As well as going up against the special forces unit knows as The Cobra Unit, Made Up of The Pain, The Fury, The Fear, And The End, Along the way.

The Original game, released on the PlayStation 2, featured a top down view, similar to Metal Gear Solid, for the PlayStation 1. Although the 2011 HD Remaster, along with the 3sd release in 2012, would both have the game set in 3rd person.

Overall, the game sold over 4 Million copies in the us, with the 3ds version selling 79,284 copies. The game was given a 9.6/10 by Ign, and a 5/5 on Gamesradar.
