How To Play Sudoku

Have you ever attempted to play Sudoku and failed no matter how hard you tried to understand the game? If so you might want to tune in as I explain the rules as simple as possible. If not stick along for the show. You might just find your new favorite thing to do the burn time.

The first thing you will notice is the 9×9 grid. Inside this grid will contain a few numbers in different boxes of the grid. There will also be thick lines inside the 9×9 grid that make up a smaller 3×3 grid. Now this may sound complicated but when you learn the rules it will become easier to understand. Onto the rules.

Every square inside the grid must contain one number. You can only use number between 1 and 9 to complete the puzzle. The smaller 3×3 grids can only have the numbers 1-9 once. As well as the vertical columns and the horizontal columns.

Now that you know the rules, you can start on actually playing the game.

The number that wouldn’t be able to fit inside the highlighted box are 1, 3, 4,6 ,8, and 9 because it would caused them to repeat, however the numbers that would be able to fit are 2, 5, and 7. If you tap any of the twos, you will see the all of the twos become highlighted.

You will also see where twos are missing and one of them happen to be in the original highlighted spot. After filling in the original highlighted spot you will be able to fill in the rest of the twos.

If you haven’t figured it out by now, the easiest way to complete a Sudoku puzzle is by pressing a number and seeing where the rest of them are. Looking closely at the twos you will see that none of them intersect each other. Repeat the process above with each of the numbers to finish your first sudoku puzzle. In the event that you run into a problem where you can’t figure out where the next number goes, move onto the next number. And keep looking through the grid to see a possible placement for other numbers. Overtime you will get used to the rules and be able to beat harder levels of  Sudoku puzzles.

Side Note: I, myself, am not the best but if you want to watch me try and beat an expert level of Sudoku here is a link to my YouTube channel.
