Following the trailer leak on August 22nd, Marvel Studios and Sony finally released the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer August 23, 2021 around 6:30 pm PST. It is to no one’s surprise that the trailer has created an uproar from fans. Speculation on when the trailer would be released has been around since late 2020. With the movie release date around the corner, it was only a matter of time before the trailer was seen by the world. The trailer begins with Peter Parker, identity newly revealed to the world, and MJ on the roof discussing a news article on Parker’s abilities. The trailer continues showing Parker reaching out to Dr. Stephen Strange in an attempt to reverse the events of Spider-Man: Far from Home. Though advised against it, Strange helps Parker, and in consequence rips through the multiverse. The trailer is roughly 3 minutes and is full of action and interesting plot lines from beginning to end. The money shot of the trailer reveals one of 5 main villains, Doctor Octopus (AKA Doc Ock). With 5 villains from different universes coming together to form their “I Hate Peter Parker” Club, it’s safe to say Peter Parker is doomed. Though many people were expecting “surprise” appearances from former Peter Parker’s, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, many still hold up hope that they will appear later on in the movies, speculating that the trailer is roughly just the first 30-40 minutes of the film. It is safe to say that this will be one of Marvel’s best new releases of 2021. Spider-Man: No Way Home releases in theaters December 17, 2021.
