The New NBA Season

David Beas, Writer

At the time of me writing this (October 19th), the NBA season is starting tonight! After a long offseason with many blockbuster trades and signings, we finally get to see them play on their new teams. We’re finally back to a relatively normal season with the regular 82 game schedule instead of 72 like last season. The players also got a normal length offseason with more time to rest. Opening night is coming with 2 rivalries, the first game being the Brooklyn Nets vs Milwaukee Bucks. This is a throwback to the 2020 playoffs where the Buck’s came on top after 7 games and many debate as to which is the best team in the Eastern Conference. The next game is the classic Stephen Curry vs Lebron James rivalry, with the Golden State Warriors going on the road to face the Los Angeles Lakers. Even if you’re not a fan of any of these teams, as a basketball fan, these matchups are exciting, especially on the first day of the season!
