Tofu is one of the most debated foods on earth. So many people frown upon it and haven’t even tried it. Tofu is made similarly like cheese. It is condensed soy milk which is then pressed into white blocks. The making of tofu originated in China more than 2,000 years ago when they accidentally mixed soy milk with nigari. Studies show that tofu is very healthy and has many benefits. Tofu can fight against heart disease and some cancers. It is a great food for weightloss as it is low calorie and high protein. Tofu can be eaten so many different ways. Raw, fried, baked, sautéed, etc. Another cool thing about tofu is that it comes in different consistencies. There is silken, regular, firm, medium firm, and extra firm. You get a different firmness depending on how much water you press into it. I recommend adding tofu into your diet because there are so many recipes out there that are amazing.
