Super Bowl 56

The first Super Bowl was on January 15, 1967.  In the 56 years that the Super Bowl has been going on it has never had to be canceled, and the only delay in Super Bowl history was in 2013 when the power at the Superdome went out for 34 minutes. This year’s Super Bowl will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2022 in LA at SoFi Stadium. The match up is the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams.

The Bengals have reached the Super Bowl twice but have never won the Lombardi Trophy. Cincinnati was bested by Joe Montana and the San Francisco 49ers at the end of the 1981 and 1988 NFL seasons. The Los Angeles Rams are looking for their second Super Bowl win, they first won a Super Bowl in January 2000, when the Rams played out of St. Louis and beat the Titans 23-16.

The Super Bowl has also become wildly popular for the half-time show. They have hosted tons of entertainers such as Beyoncé, Madonna, Coldplay, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira and The Weeknd. This year Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar will be preforming during the show. This is one of the most highly anticipated half time lineups that we have seen in years.

Personally, I think watching the Super Bowl commercials is the best part. Brands always make special funny commercials specifically for the Super Bowl, a lot of them will include celebrities and NFL stars. Clear your schedule February 13 and watch the Super Bowl with your friends and family.
