3 Easy Super Bowl Snacks

With Super Bowl 56 fast approaching, we can expect a lot of people to host parties for their friends and family. If you and your family are the friends that host, then you know it can be stressful to prepare everything before people get there. Everyone knows that a must have while watching the Super Bowl is snacks. However, there is no need to feel stress when there are such easy things you can prepare. Here are a few super easy recipes with no more than two steps to prepare.

 

1. Blue Ribbon Beef Nachos

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 can (16 ounces) refried beans
  • 1 jar (16 ounces) salsa
  • 1 can (6 ounces) pitted ripe olives, chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Tortilla chips
  • Optional: Sliced ripe olives, chopped green onions and diced tomatoes

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; crumble the beef; drain. Stir in next 7 ingredients; heat through. Serve over tortilla chips. Top with olives, onions and tomatoes if desired.

 

2.Tex- Mex Popcorn

  • 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
  • 3 tablespoons canola oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • Refrigerated butter-flavored spray
  • 1/4 cup minced fresh cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon smoked paprika

Directions

  1. In a Dutch oven over medium heat, cook the popcorn kernels, oil and cumin seeds until oil begins to sizzle. Cover and shake for 2-3 minutes or until popcorn stops popping.
  2. Transfer to a large bowl; spritz with butter-flavored spray. Add remaining ingredients and toss to coat. Continue spritzing and tossing until popcorn is coated.

 

3. Chocolate Chip DipĀ 

  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
  • Graham cracker sticks

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until light and fluffy. Add the sugars and vanilla; beat until smooth. Stir in chocolate chips. Serve with graham cracker sticks.
