The Santa Maria Joint Union board look toward expansion The SMJUHSD board got together to approve the pre-planning of a new high school due to an influx of new students in recent years. Officials on the board say that high schools in this area are at capacity and we should look to expand for our projected increase in student population. The location of the new school has not been determined as of the publishing on this article, but is expected to be constructed somewhere near the westside of Betteravia rd.
