New B-21 Raider Stealth Bomber Debut

America’s newest nuclear stealth bomber, the B-21 Raider Stealth Bomber has made its public debut after years of undercover development as the government’s response to rising concerns over a potential future conflict with China.

The B-21 Raider is the new American bomber aircraft. Ahead of its unveiling Friday at an Air Force facility in Palmdale, California, only artists’ renderings of the craft have been released. The images show the Raider is to resemble the black nuclear stealth bomber everyone loves, the B-2 Spirit.

China plans to have 1,500 nuclear weapons by 2035, and its gains in hyper sonics, cyber warfare, space capabilities and other areas represent a bigger threat to the U.S national security more than ever says the Pentagon. Deborah Lee James, Air Force Secretary, says ”We needed a new bomber for the 21st Century that would allow us to take on much more complicated threats, like the threats that we fear we would one day face from China and Russia,” assuring us that the B-21 is “more survivable and can take on these much more difficult threats.”
