On February 4th, Cam Thomas came off the bench, he came off the bench known as a mediocre player who averaged almost only 17 minutes per game, the two games before February 4th Thomas showed out in his 20 minute performances having 21 on January 30th and 19 on January 1st. Thomas came off the bench in the first with 3 minutes left on the clock and he immediately dropped three solid buckets giving him six points for the first quarter. After the first Thomas dropped the rest of his buckets and he had a couple ankle breaking shots, tough finishes at the rim, a four point play getting fouled from the three, and he also hit 4 three’s in the game going 80% from the ark. In the next game many believed that this game was a one hit wonder which is seen a lot in the league but then he came out the next night with 39 minutes in the game and he dropped a career high 47 points. He had 7 three pointers and he went 63.6% from beyond the ark. Thomas then came out the next night against the Phoenix Suns and he had another whopping 43 points, he hit three of his beyond the ark shots and he showed how underrated he really is. In these three games Cam Thomas did what hadn’t been done since 1976 by the Nets franchise, this cementing his legacy in the record books.
