Lauryn Noelle Hill is an African American successful singer/song writer. She was born in East Orange, New Jersey May 1975. From a very young age she loved music. It wasn’t until she was 13, she found the passion of singing. That is when she joined the Fugees. She was 23 when she won her grammy for Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. She has 4 children, Selah Marley, Zion Marley, Joshua Marley, John Marley. The father of her children was her late boyfriend Rohan Marley who is the son of the famous Bob Marley.
Doo wop that thing was her biggest song. She won 8 Grammys total. In 2013 she spent 3 months in jail due to owing the IRS money that she soon payed back the almost million dollars she owed them. She only put out 1 album unfortunealy however she had one live album the MTV Unplugged No. 2.0.
Lauryn started in the film Sister Act back in 1993 with Whoopie Goldburg. In 1999 she because the first woman to earn five Grammys in one night. Her wins included best new artist best r&b album of the year. She in total won eight Grammys in her career. She was nominated for 19 in total. Lauryn soon would disappear from preforming and making paparazzi appearances.
