Every kid has a dream, to making the schools sports team to even planning for a future career. However, dreams can feel far away when your just a student but setting goals for the future can turn those into achieveable goals.

Why do we need to set goals?
When students set goals it gives themselves a direction to head in and a clear path to follow. If you learn how to understand that setting goals for yourself is important, it can help you to become more focused and more confident.
Setting goals gives students directions. Instead of making you feel unsure about what to focus on. For example a student who sets goals can help improve their mental health, complete assignments, and help you when it is needed. Having a specific goal makes it easier to plan things in the future.
Another reason why setting goals is important is because it increases motivation. When students have to work on an assignment, they will be more likely to stay determined on that specific assignment. Reaching small goals while heading towards big checkpoints can help build confidence and encourage students to continue on. This slow but worth it process can help studies stay positive and it reminds them of the hard work that will lead to improvement.
Not only can setting goals just help set a good confidence level but it can also build responsibility and discipline! When someone learns how to create a goal they need to learn how to manage it and stay committed to it. This means having to stay on track and not giving up when something becomes too difficult. Just by
practicing responsibility through goal setting, students learn how to develop a better mindset that will help them succeed in the future.

Just by setting clear goals, students can manage their time, become way more confident and learn how to be more responsible in life. These skills are incredibly important for a students future, it will help them succeed in school and prepare them for future challenges and opportunities in life.
