Key chains one of many ways to show self-expression. This craft is therapeutic and satisfying to make and can be made from things you already have at home such as plastic from salad boxes.

The things you will need:

Plastic (specifically recyclable 6 plastic or ShrinkyDinks)

Holepuncher 

Keychain rings

Black paint marker

And this is optional but you may also need paint

The first thing you need to do is find your image. I recommend images from Pinterest but you can get your images from anywhere.

 After you find the picture you want, cut out a large piece of plastic and trace your image MAKE SURE YOU FLIP THE IMAGE!! Cut the traced image with a 1cm border and don’t forget to leave room for the hole you have to cut out.

Now if you have a mini oven cover the try with a small piece of parchment paper and place the plastic in. Heat up the oven at 350 degrees for about a minute. Keep a close eye on it as well because it may shrink a bit too small. Also don’t worry if the plastic warps it’s gonna flatten itself out.

Once you’ve taken out the now shrieked plastic you can leave it as is and connect the keychain ring on to or you can paint it. If you do want to paint it, paint it on the back side. And there you have it, your own custom keychain.
