On December 25th 2020 Playboi Carti released his most anticipated album titled “Whole Lotta Red”. When I first heard the album I was in Mexico and I recall myself hating the album so much I talked negatively about it. I thought It was his worst album of all time. After a few days of its release I decided to go back for a second listen. At the time I still disliked most of the songs on the album, but the only 2 songs from the album that were slowly growing on me were “sky” and “Sla3r”. Then I started seeing ticktoks about how the album gets better and better every day. So, I decided to go back and give the album a third listen. Every song from the album started growing on me from top to bottom, day after day after every listen. But that was his last release, we haven’t gotten any new music since Christmas 2020. Playboi Carti has one of the most crazy fan bases ever, to the point where people will do anything for him to release some new music. Whole Lotta Red broke records by still being on the Billboard’s Hot 200 and gained over 1 billion demand streams in 2022 without releasing any new music. But the question is, how and why did it change my life? I loved the album so much I started talking about it everyday to hundreds of different people, whenever they say an artist that they think is the best of all time , Im one of those people who bring up Carti and say that he’s way better and in my opinion he basically is better. “Whole Lotta Red” inspired the way I dress and the way I act. I used to only wear vans and champion clothes. But now I switched up the way I look. I changed my hairstyle, I changed my outfit style. I used to never wear jewelry, and now I do, just to add on that extra flavor. Till this day August 30th 2022 I still listen to “Whole Lotta Red” as part as my daily routine, and is the reason why I act the way I act and dress the way I dress. With that being said I can gladly say that “Whole Lotta Red” by Playboi Carti changed my life.
