A teachers role can go wayyy beyond giving just handing out assignments and grading tests. A teachers support can help shape a students confidence, motivation, and overall success. When teachers give an effort into supporting students by encouraging them, and truly listen to their students, they create an environment where learning feels safe and meaningful to them. support from a teacher can help a student not want to give up and keep pushing forward. The influence from a supportive teacher can last way beyond the class room. Affecting not only academic results but also personal growth and actions in the future (maybe they want to teach one day?)
A nice and important way a teacher can support their student is by offering extra help; this can help them understand assignments they may be confused on. Another way a student can motivate students is by giving helpful feedback because it shows them how to improve in a subject or assignment. Personally, feedback is helpful especially when its from a teacher, it gives me a direction to go into for the assignment. If a teacher provides this type of environment it can help students feel comfortable asking questions in the future.
The real impact of teacher support definitely goes beyong academics though. When they provide these things they help build a persons character, the lessons students learn from that support helps build students. Teacher support is not just about improving grades. It is about building belief, character and the foundation for future success.
